Solidarity Projects: get up to speed before the next deadline

Solidarity Projects workshop with Europeers in September 2019

Looking for help with developing your Solidarity Project idea?

Whether you are part of a group of young people, or a youth worker, two new videos are now available to support you in getting your ideas down on paper using our tools, as well as to answer frequent questions about this activity under the European Solidarity Corps.

These two sessions were developed by the UK National Agency for ‘Ready, Set, Make the Change!’, which is the European Solidarity Corps online course coordinated and supported by the UK National Agency, in cooperation with the European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre. The second phase was launched in January and included Solidarity Projects.

Alexandrina, online course participant, says:

“It is impressive how well-structured and organised this course is. It was interesting to use different interactive tools to understand more about the European Solidarity Corps activities.”

The first video introduces our Solidarity Projects Planner, a tool designed to help groups with getting creative and developing their own project ideas. Last year, we introduced it to young people in workshops with organisations such as EuropeersUK (photo above) and the British Youth Council.

The tutorial guides you through each section of the planner and gives ideas and examples of how to complete it. At the end, you should have an outline of your project, which could come in handy when filling out the funding application form.

You can download this useful tool from our ‘Before you apply’ section, which also gives you tips on what you will need to do before submitting a funding application for Solidarity Projects.

The second video is a recording from the live Q&A session, which took place on Monday 3 February as part of the European Solidarity Corps online course.

If you are looking for more inspiration for your Solidarity Projects application, check out our YouTube playlist and get ready to apply for funding by the next deadline (30 April, 11am UK time).
