The 2019 European Youth Week takes place from 29 April to 5 May, coordinating youth activities on democratic engagement and social action through events across Europe.
With the theme “Democracy and me”, the week explores how young people can be active in society. Engaging in voluntary work, improving a community, and discussing topics that matter to young people are examples of active citizenship.
Would you like to engage with the European Youth Week? Youth organisations, public bodies, schools or groups of young people can organise their own events within the week’s theme. Get involved by:
- Submitting your event to the website;
- Promoting it on social media with #youthweek and #democracyandme; and
- Downloading materials to promote the week and your event.
Also, the European Youth Week showcases the added value of the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+. Follow us on Twitter to see inspiring stories from our beneficiaries and participants during the week.
